Recipe....
Ingredients......
- Boneless chicken pieces cut into cubes 250gms
For first marination....
- Red chilly powder 1 tablespoon
- Coriander powder 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tspoon
- Garam masala 1/4 tspoon
- Chicken Marsala 1/4 tspoon
- Crushed pepper 1/4 tspoon
- Chilly ginger garlic paste 1-2 tablespoons
- Red chilly paste 1/2 tspoon
- Lime juice 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
For second marination
- Gram flour/ besan 2-3 tablespoons
- Yoghurt 4 tablespoons
- Oil 4-5 tablespoons
- Red chilly powder 1/4 tspoon
- Salt to taste...
Procedure....
- Initially take the cleaned chicken pieces in a mixing bowl
- Add all the ingredients mentioned under first marination into it and mix well
- Keep this marinated chicken for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour
- After that heat span on medium flame and add 2 tablespoon of oil into it
- When oil becomes hot add besan into it and saute well until its cooked..
- Be cautious about gram flour while sauting..
- There are high chances that it may get burnt
- Now add this into a bowl containing yoghurt
- Add the remaining oil and red chilly powder into it and beat them all together into a smooth paste
- Add the marinated chicken pieces into this and mix well again
- Keep this marinated for at least 2-3 hours or over night in the refrigerator
- Before baking preheat the oven to 420 deg Fahrenheit
- Take a baking tray and grease well with oil
- Place the chicken pieces on it and bake for 15-25 minutes
- You can use squillets as well... But in that case squillets should be soaked previously for at least 20-30 minutes before using. Otherwise they may get burnt in the oven
- Your delicious chicken tikka are ready to be served with lime,onion rings and green chutney
