- Boiled and cooked rice(sona masoori) 1 cup
- Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
- Oil 2 tablespoons
- Mustard seeds 1/4 tspoon
- Dry whole red chillys 1-2
- Broken cashews 1 tablespoon (optional)
- Peanuts 1 tablespoons (optional)
- Chana dal 2 tablespoons
- Chopped green chilly 1-2
- Chopped ginger 1 tspoon
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tspoon
- Salt to taste
Procedure..
- Initially add rice to a bowl along with lemon juice and salt
- Mix well and check for seasoning.keep it aside
- Meanwhile Heat up a pan on medium flame and add oil into it
- As oil becomes hot add in mustard seeds
- As it crackles add red chillys,and chana daal
- Saute for a while and add cashews and peanuts
- Mix it well and add ginger and green chillys
- Saute them well and add turmeric powder
- Mix it and add previously prepared rice mix into it
- Mix everything well and continue sauting for another 4-5 minutes
- Switch off the flame and serve hot with raitha,pickle and papad!!!!
