- Whole wheat flour 1 1/2 cups
- Boiled and cooked green peas 3/4 cup(fresh/frozen/dried)
- Chopped green chilly 1
- Chopped cilantro 2-3 tablespoons
- Garam masala 1/2 tspoon
- Oil for kneading and frying puris
- Salt to taste
Procedure...
- Firstly add green peas,chilly and cilantro into a blender and make a smooth paste(add some water for blending if required)
- In a large bowl add all the other ingredients mentioned along with this paste
- Knead into a hard dough
- Let it rest for 15-20 minutes
- Knead it again and make small balls from the dough and roll into puris
- Heat up oil in a pan and as oil becomes hot add puri into it
- Flip and cook on both sides until golden brown
- Drain on to a kitchen tissue and serve hot with pickle and curry........
These puris are so delicious that it could be had as such...without any side dish!!!
