lemon rice..

Recipe...
Ingredients...

  • Boiled and cooked rice(sona masoori) 1 cup
  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
  • Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Mustard seeds 1/4 tspoon
  • Dry whole red chillys 1-2
  • Broken cashews 1 tablespoon (optional)
  • Peanuts 1 tablespoons (optional)
  • Chana dal 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped green chilly 1-2
  • Chopped ginger 1 tspoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tspoon
  • Salt to taste
Procedure..
  • Initially add rice to a bowl along with lemon juice and salt
  • Mix well and check for seasoning.keep it aside

  • Meanwhile Heat up a pan on medium flame and add oil into it
  • As oil becomes hot add in mustard seeds
  • As it crackles add red chillys,and chana daal


  • Saute for a while and add cashews and peanuts
  • Mix it well and add ginger and green chillys

  • Saute them well and add turmeric powder
  • Mix it and add previously prepared rice mix into it

  • Mix everything well and continue sauting for another 4-5 minutes 

  • Switch off the flame and serve hot with raitha,pickle and papad!!!!
