Ingredients...
- Whole wheat flour 1 cup
- Ground/finely grated beetroot 3 tablespoons
- Roasted cumin powder 1/2 tspoon
- Red chilly powder 1/2 tspoon
- Ghee 1 tablespoon (optional)
- Oil 3-4 tablespoons
- Water
- Salt to taste
Procedure...
- Initially take a mixing bowl and add all the dry ingredients into it...
- Mix them thoroughly and then go on adding rest of the wet ingredients
- Now mix all together ,add enough water and kneed into a smooth dough as shown
- Now let the dough rest for at least 20 minutes
- Again kneed it well. And take a medium ball from the dough and roll it into Rotis
- Repeat the same with rest of the dough
- Heat a skillet on medium flame and add the roti onto it,flip it and cook on both the sides following the same method as for normal chapatis
- Cook all the Rotis and serve them hot with raita or curry..
