methi poori











Recipe....
Ingredients...

  • Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  • Chopped methi leaves 1/2 cup
  • Besan/gram flour 1/4 cup
  • Roasted cumin powder 1/2 tspoon
  • Red chilly powder 1/4 tspoon
  • Water for kneeding
  • Oil for kneeding 
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying pooris
Procedure...
  • Initially in a mixing bowl add in all the ingredients except last one
  • Knead it into a smooth dough and allow it to rest for at least 20 minutes


  • After that make small small balls from dough and roll it into pooris

  • Heat up a deep pan and pour oil into it enough for frying
  • When oil becomes moderately hot place one poori carefully and fry on both sides until golden brown

  • Similarly fry all the pooris
  • Drain up on a kitchen tissue and serve them hot with curry and raita
