Ingredients...
- Whole wheat flour 1 cup
- Chopped methi leaves 1/2 cup
- Besan/gram flour 1/4 cup
- Roasted cumin powder 1/2 tspoon
- Red chilly powder 1/4 tspoon
- Water for kneeding
- Oil for kneeding
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying pooris
Procedure...
- Initially in a mixing bowl add in all the ingredients except last one
- Knead it into a smooth dough and allow it to rest for at least 20 minutes
- After that make small small balls from dough and roll it into pooris
- Heat up a deep pan and pour oil into it enough for frying
- When oil becomes moderately hot place one poori carefully and fry on both sides until golden brown
- Similarly fry all the pooris
- Drain up on a kitchen tissue and serve them hot with curry and raita
