- Wheat flour 1 cup
- Oil 2-3 tablespoons
- Water for kneading
- Salt to taste
For filling
- Grated cauliflower 3/4 cup
- Chopped green chilly 1
- Red chilly powder a pinch
- Garam masala a pinch
- Roasted cumin powder 1/4 tspoon
- Salt to taste
Procedure...
- Initially take a mixing bowl and add all the ingredients mentioned below "for filling"
- Mix up everything together and keep it aside for at least 30 minutes
- Meanwhile in another mixing bowl add the ingredients mentioned under "for dough" and knead into smooth dough
- Let it rest for at least 20-25 minutes
- After that knead the dough again and make balls from it for preparing parathas
- At this time,take the bowl with the filling and squeeze the cauliflower mix as tightly as u can with ur hands, so that it leaves out all its moisture and turns almost dry
- Now roll the dough ball into small circle,place 1-2 tspoons of filling and fold it back into a dough ball
- Dust it with wheat flour and roll it again into thin parathas by placing the closed part facing downwards
- Repeat the same with all the dough balls
- Now heat up a pan on medium flame and place paratha over it,flip it and cook until both sides turn golden brown
- Apply ghee over the parathas while cooking
- Serve them hot with curry and raita....
