green peas puris..

Recipe...
Ingredients...

  • Whole wheat flour 1 1/2 cups
  • Boiled and cooked green peas 3/4 cup(fresh/frozen/dried)
  • Chopped green chilly 1
  • Chopped cilantro 2-3 tablespoons
  • Garam masala 1/2 tspoon
  • Oil for kneading and frying puris
  • Salt to taste
Procedure...
  • Firstly add green peas,chilly and cilantro into a blender and make a smooth paste(add some water for blending if required)


  • In a large bowl add all the other ingredients mentioned along with this paste
  • Knead into a hard dough

  • Let it rest for 15-20 minutes
  • Knead it again and make small balls from the dough and roll into puris

  • Heat up oil in a pan and as oil becomes hot add puri into it

  • Flip and cook on both sides until golden brown

  • Drain on to a kitchen tissue and serve hot with pickle and curry........
These puris are so delicious that it could be had as such...without any side dish!!!
