- Over cooked rice 1 cup
- Whisked yogurt 1 cup
- Oil 1 tablespoon
- Mustard seeds 1/4 tspoon
- Dry whole red chilly 2
- Chana dal 1 1/2tablespoon
- Urad dal 1 1/2 tablespoon
- Broken cashew 1 1/2tablespoon
- Curry leaves 2 sprigs
- Salt to taste
Procedure...
- Initially add rice and yogurt into a bowl,season it with salt and mix it well by mashing some of the rice
- For tadka,heat up a pan on medium flame and add oil into it
- As oil becomes hot add mustard seeds
- As it crackles,add dry red chillys and chana dal
- Saute until channa dal turns golden brown and then add urad dal and cashews
- Saute until they too turn golden brown,and finally add curry leaves and switch off the flame
- Add this tadka to the previously prepared rice mix
- Mix everything together and serve with pickle,raita and papad!!!!!
