aloo tikkis/potato patties...

Recipe..
Ingredients..

  • Boiled and mashed potatoes 3
  • Chopped onion 1
  • Chopped green chilly 1
  • Red chilly powder 1/4 tspoon
  • Garam masala 1/2 tspoon
  • Crushed pepper 1/4 tspoon
  • Chopped cilantro 2-3 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice 1 tspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 2-3 tablespoons for shallow frying
Procedure..
  • Add all the ingredients into a.mixing bowl and  mix well

  • Apply oil on ur palms and shape patties from the mix

  • Heat up a pan on mediul flame and as the pan becomes hot add patties one by one into it and fry until both sides golden brown

Note..
  • The mashed potatoes used for patties should have minimum moisture ,otherwise patties may disintegrate in the oil..for minimizing the moisture content,boil and mash the potatoes and refrigerate the previous night itself...or else cook the potatoes in microwave as and when required!!!
  • Another important factor to be considered for getting proper patties s that,the oil should be very hot before placing the patties..
