urad dal vada/uzhunnu vada...!!!!

Recipe...

Ingredients....

  • Urad dal 100 grams (soaked for at least 4-5 hours or the whole night)
  • Finely Chopped onion 1 
  • Chopped green chillys 2
  • Chopped ginger 1 small piece
  • Cracked pepper corns 1 tspoon
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
Procedure...
  • Initially grind the soaked urad dal into a smooth thick paste (add 1-2 tspoons of water only if necessary ,grinding urad dal without water is the best option)
  • After that add onions,green chillys,ginger, pepper corns and salt to taste
  • Mix well and heat up oil in a pan for frying
  • Apply water on ur palms and take little of the mix and give shape to vada with a hole in center and dip it into the hot oil
  • Flip and cook until both sides get golden color
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney....!!!!yummm!!!!!!!!
