Ingredients..
- Chickpea flour/besan 1 cup
- Wheat flour 1 cup
- Chilly flakes 1/4 tspoon
- Crushed pepper 1/4 tspoon
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tspoon
- Carom seeds/ajwain 1/2 tspoon
- Dry fenugreek leaves 1-2 tspoons(optional)
- Oil for kneading the dough and frying
- Salt to taste
Procedure..
- In a bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix well
- To that add some oil and enough water to make a tight dough.(use minimum amount of water)
- Keep the dough for 20-30 minutes and then kneed again
- Now divide the dough into 3 parts and roll each part like a roti
- Now cut them as shown
- Heat up a pan on medium flame and add enough oil for frying
- Once the oil becomes hot,add paares one by one (6-8 at a time according to the size of the pan)and fry on both sides until golden brown
- Serve them hot with tea
