Recipe ..
Ingredients..
- Ghee 1 tspoon
- Oil 2 tspoon
- Mustard seeds 1 tspoon
- Cumin seeds 1 tspoon
- Curry leaves 1 sprig
- Cooked and mashed toor dal 2 cups
- Chopped tomatoes 1 medium sized
- Tamarind pulp 1-2 tspoons
- Red chilly powder 2 tspoons
- Coriander powder 2 tspoons
- Sugar to taste
- Chopped cilantro 2-3 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
Procedure...
- Initially heat up a pan and add ghee and oil into it
- Once oil becomes hot,add mustard seeds
- After it splutters add cumin seeds and curry leaves
- Now add the cooked and mashed dal along with some water
- Add chopped tomatoes and tamarind pulp and cook for 10 minutes
- After that add red chilly powder, coriander powder and sugar/jaggery to taste
- Cook for another 5-10 minutes
- Finally add some chopped cilantro and ur dal anti is ready to be served hot with rice or roti
Note..
- Traditionally this recipe is prepared with thin consistency(almost like rasam).. By adding water while cooking ,but I prefer it with normal dal consistency.... So its all up to ur taste and choice..
U can adjust the consistency accordingly...
