besan paare....










Recipe...

Ingredients..

  • Chickpea flour/besan 1 cup
  • Wheat flour 1 cup
  • Chilly flakes 1/4 tspoon
  • Crushed pepper 1/4 tspoon
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tspoon
  • Carom seeds/ajwain 1/2 tspoon
  • Dry fenugreek leaves 1-2 tspoons(optional)
  • Oil for kneading the dough and frying
  • Salt to taste
Procedure..
  • In a bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix well
  • To that add some oil and enough water to make a tight dough.(use minimum amount of water)

  • Keep the dough for 20-30 minutes and then kneed again
  • Now divide the dough into 3 parts and roll each part like a roti
  • Now cut them as shown

  • Heat up a pan on medium flame and add enough oil for frying 
  • Once the oil becomes hot,add paares one by one (6-8 at a time according to the size of the pan)and fry on both sides until golden brown

  • Serve them hot with tea
