- Bread slices 3
- Oil for deep frying
- Besan/chickpea flour 3/4 cup
- Corn starch 2 tablespoons
- Red chilly powder 1/4 tspoon
- Chopped onion 1 small
- Chopped green chillys 1
- Chopped cilantro 2 tablespoons
- Baking soda 1/4 tspoon
- Salt to taste
Procedure..
- Take the bread slices and cut them diagonally through both diagonals to form 4 triangles from each bread slice
- In a bowl ,add in last 8 ingredients mentioned above
- Mix them well and add enough water to form a thick batter
- Heat up a nonstick pan on medium flame and add oil into it
- As oil becomes hot,dip the bread pieces one by one in the batter and place directly into the hot oil
- Fry until both the sides turn golden brown
- Drain on to a kitchen tissue for absorbing excess oil and serve hot with tomato ketchup and tamarind chutney
