dahi aloo...












Recipe....
Ingredients....

  • Boiled and diced potatoes 2
  • Oil 3 tablespoons
  • Mustard seeds 1/4 tspoon
  • Cumin seeds 1/4 tspoon
  • Dry whole red chilly 2
  • Red chilly powder 1/2 - 1 tspoon
  • Coriander powder 3/4 tspoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tspoon
  • Garam masala 1/2 tspoon
  • Thick beaten yogurt 1 1/2. -2 cups
  • Chopped cilantro 3 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
Procedure...
  • Initially heat up a pan on medium flame and add oil in to it
  • Once oil becomes hot add mustard seeds
  • As it crackles add cumin seeds and whole red chilly

  • Now remove the pan from flame and add dry ground spices ,mix it well

  • Now place the pan again over the flame with lowest possible flame and add potatoes immediately
  • Saute it in the spices for 1-2 minutes and add yogurt 


  • Give it a quick mix and switch off the flame
  • Add chopped cilantro and salt to taste 


  • Give it a quick stir and Ur recipe s ready to be served
Note..
  • Be very careful while adding ground spices directly into hot oil..there r chances that they may get burnt..and also never allow yogurt to boil..this may curdle it up
