egg pakoras/egg bajji....
















Recipe...
Ingredients...

  • Hard boiled eggs 2
  • Red chilly powder 1/4 tspoon
  • Crushed black pepper 1/4 tspoon
  • Garam masala 1/4 tspoon
  • Chaat masala 1/4 tspoon
  • Onion slices 2-3
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
For batter
  • Gram flour/besan 1/2 cup
  • Red chilly powder 1/4 tspoon
  • Water 1/2 cup (approx)
  • Salt to taste
For garnishing
  • Tomato ketchup 1 tablespoon
  • Chaat masala 1/4 tspoon
Procedure...
  • For preparing batter add in all the ingredients mentioned under "for batter" into a mixing bowl
  • Mix them well to form a thick batter by adjusting the quantity of water
  • After that peel the eggs and half them

  • Now sprinkle all the dry ground spices mentioned under ingredients one by one over the egg half
  • Now place an onion slice over it approx covering the egg surface
  • Heat up a deep pan on medium flame and add oil enough for frying
  • As oil becomes hot ,dip egg half into the batter by facing cut side upwards and coat it well with the batter and Place egg piece into the hot oil so that cut side faces downwards.
  • As this side gets cooked and golden brown, flip it and cook other side as well
  • As both sides get done,remove them onto a kitchen tissue to drain excess oil
  • Serve them hot by sprinkling chaat masala and drizzling tomato ketchup over it
