- Boiled and cooked chickpeas 1 cup
- Yogurt 3 tablespoons
- Finely chopped onion 1
- Finely chopped green chilly 1/2
- Lemon juice 2 tspoons
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- Chopped cilantro 2 tablespoons (optional)
For tampering
- Oil 1 tablespoon
- Mustard seeds 1/4 tspoon
- Cumin seeds 1/4 tspoon
- Red chilly flakes 1/4 tspoon
Procedure...
- Initially in a bowl add in all ingredients
- Now for tampering, heat up a small pan on medium flame and add oil into it
- Once oil becomes hot add in mustard seeds, and as it crackles add cumin seeds and chilly flakes
- Switch off the flame and after a while add it to the salad mix and incorporate them all together using a spatula or spoon
- Check for seasoning and serve at room temperature
