seasoned onion rice...

Recipe...
Ingredients...

  • Boiled and cooked rice 1 cup
  • Sliced onion 2
  • Minced garlic 2 cloves
  • Oil 1-2 tablespoons
  • Mustard seeds 1/4 tspoon
  • Cumin seeds 1/4 tspoon
  • Dry whole red chilly 2
  • Biryani masala 1/2 tspoon
  • Lemon juice 1 tspoon
  • Salt to taste
Procedure...
  • Initially heat up a pan on medium flame and add oil into it
  • Once oil becomes hot add in mustard seeds
  • As it crackles add cumin seeds and dry red chillys

  • Saute for a while and add garlic

  • Saute until garlic turns golden brown and add onions

  • Saute them till they are lightly brown but yet crunchy(don't cook until onions turn completely tender and soft)
  • Finally add in biryani masala and salt to taste

  • Mix it well and add rice

  • Flavor it with lemon juice and mix well and saute for at least 6-7 minutes so that onim flavor is nicely infused into the rice
  • Switch off the flame and serve hot!!!!
