- Boiled and cooked rice 1 cup
- Sliced onion 2
- Minced garlic 2 cloves
- Oil 1-2 tablespoons
- Mustard seeds 1/4 tspoon
- Cumin seeds 1/4 tspoon
- Dry whole red chilly 2
- Biryani masala 1/2 tspoon
- Lemon juice 1 tspoon
- Salt to taste
Procedure...
- Initially heat up a pan on medium flame and add oil into it
- Once oil becomes hot add in mustard seeds
- As it crackles add cumin seeds and dry red chillys
- Saute for a while and add garlic
- Saute until garlic turns golden brown and add onions
- Saute them till they are lightly brown but yet crunchy(don't cook until onions turn completely tender and soft)
- Finally add in biryani masala and salt to taste
- Mix it well and add rice
- Flavor it with lemon juice and mix well and saute for at least 6-7 minutes so that onim flavor is nicely infused into the rice
- Switch off the flame and serve hot!!!!
