Ingredients...
- Pappadam 5-6
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Mustard seeds 1/4 tspoon
- Cumin seeds 1/8 tspoon
- Halved green chillies 1-2
- Sliced shallots 6-7
- Dried red chillies 1-2
- Curry leaves 2 sprigs
- Grated coconut 3/4 cup
- Red chilly powder 1/4 tspoon
- Turmeric powder a pinch
- Salt to taste
Procedure...
- Initially heat up oil in a sause pan and fry all papads
- Heat up another pan and add 2-3 tablespoons of oil
- Once it's hot crackle mustard seeds and cumin seeds
- Add in green chillies,shallots,curry leaves, dry red chillies and saute well
- Finally add grated coconut,red chilly powder,turmeric powder ,salt to taste and fry well for 4-5 minutes
- At this stage scramble the fried papads into the pan and saute for 5-6 minutes on low flame....
Now delicious papadam tthoran is ready to be served with rice. .!!!!
